about

We wrote “Mayflower” for Winterfest over a year ago. Originally we set out to write a single theme song for an event. We ended up loving the sound so much that we decided to explore new territory in music, furthering the ideas and movements of “Mayflower.” Thus we found ourselves on “other shores” of the music world... and that’s why you’re holding this album,
“The Other Shores.”

Most would see six songs on a CD and think it to be an EP, but “The Other Shores” is not an EP (extended play). We call it an “album” intentionally. And though its sound does not originate from “Hymns and Hopes for the Cursed and the Blessed,” a water theme is carried into this album. We have a story to tell and “The Other Shores,” while entirely different in approach and sound, is just as much a part of that story as “Hymns and Hopes.”

There are many other songs we are excited to share in future projects that fit into the vain of neither “Hymns and Hopes” nor “The Other Shores,” so stay tuned. But our hope would be that this album would inspire you and your ears in news ways. Enjoy.
